While I was wandering through a craft store, I stumbled upon the book Knits For The Modern Baby and found the most adorable baby socks in the book. I had never made a pair of socks before, but I was up for the challenge of making these!
I used the Lions Brand Cotton-Ease for the cuff, heel and toe - makes them a little more durable. For the rest of the sock I used Moda Dea Sassy Stripes (which I'm pretty sure is discontinued and very hard to find, but it's 100% acrylic, self-stripping and I love it), for this particular sock I used "Vintage" but I also have "Spring" which is equally cute.
I was amazed at how fast one of these little socks can go - I even got one done in an afternoon once! The heel scared me when I got to that section on the first sock, but I figured it out without any major hiccups thankfully!
I managed to find a picture of the two different socks I've made so far:
The sock on the right was made with the "Spring" yarn and one on the left was made with the "Vintage" yarn!
